My dress is actually finally looking like a dress, which gives me a little bit more assurance that I'm doing it right! Today I sewed my bodice to my skirt and this is how it looks. I'm not sure about the gathering though...

Sewing Dress Day 5

So finally after two classes, I finished my whole bodice! It was hard, but I'm really glad I'm done with it. You can't tell from the picture but the whole thing is lined and ready to attack to the skirt of my dress... when I finish it.

Sewing my dress day 3

Day 3: I sewed my lining of the bodice and attempted to put it on, but then
I was told I was doing it wrong... I just have to sew the lining on and then I
will be done with the bodice!

Beginning my dress...

Sewing 'the dress' Day 2:

So, I started my dress last class, and its a lot harder than I thought it was going to be... DARN! The bodice has a lot of different turns that go different directions although they are all sewed together so that was challenging. But I finished sewing the front of the bodice together and I sewed the back pieces onto the sides too. I couldn't sew the back two pieces together though, because thats where the zipper goes. But this is how my dress looks after two classes:
Very exciting!
